Oaken Acres was founded in 1984 and admitted 20 wild patients that first year. Over the past 40 years, it has grown to become one of the largest wildlife rehabilitation centers in Illinois. This year, we will care for nearly 1,700 wild animals!

Every day, we live our motto of EVERY LIFE MATTERS! We are the only wildlife center in northern Illinois that accepts all allowable species regardless of size or age.
