For the past 11 years, Oaken Acres has participated in GIVE DEKALB COUNTY.
In that time, our supporters have funded a multitude of projects and operational expenses
through this fantastic, 24-hour online fundraiser – Including:

An eagle flight cage to exercise and assess large birds

A one-acre fawn enclosure where they can learn to be wild safely

Our well-used waterfowl pond

A carnivore cage for our resident coyote Sassy

Invaluable examination equipment in our clinic

Incubators for young and critical patients

Laundry upgrades for efficient sanitation

Just last year, you helped us build a new waterfowl building!
This year? It’s a new concrete pond for WALLY the beaver kit :)

With your help, Oaken Acres has become one of the largest wildlife centers in Illinois!
Our patient numbers increase each year. That is thanks to your support and our core belief that every single wild animal that has been orphaned or injured deserves a second chance to be wild.
We have plans and dreams for our future that can only come true with your help.
While other centers have decreased their intakes, we strive to find ways to increase ours.
